Michaela joined the Carbonzero team in 2022 as a GHG Analyst & Marketing Strategist. Her role is split between client management, external communications, and project work on the Advisory Services team. Through her work on the Advisory Services team, she contributes to the delivery of Carbonzero's client projects, specifically Corporate GHG Inventories and GHG Inventory Confirmations, GHG Measurement Tools, and Green Events Services. Michaela also writes content for Carbonzero’s website and manages the company's social media platforms.

Michaela’s education includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master’s in Environment and Sustainability (MES) from Western University. Apart from her work at Carbonzero, Michaela is a dance coach for a competitive youth team and enjoys spending time in nature. She also spent 3 summers tree planting in remote regions of Northern Canada and has planted over 350,000 trees.

Michaela is a certificate holder from the Canadian Standards Association having received training on ISO 14064-1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals. She has also completed training with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, specifically the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard as well as the Scope 3 Standard.
